It is located at the intersections of the Usenge-Bondo-Kisumu road, Ng'iya-Ndori road and Ndori-Luanda road.

It has various social amenities like schools, health facilities, various shops, a market, restaurants, bars and both bodaboda and matatu stages. Capentry is also pretty common here. There is farming here too and a lot of livestock are kept too. The market mostly comes alive in the evenings.

Temperatures peak from 26° to 28°C on very hot days, and can fall to 12°C when cool (or when it rains heavily).

Is a growing town from a humble trading center and bus stop for vehicles going to Uyoma from Kisumu, and towards Usenge, Bondo road.
