  Was there three days ago and quite saddened to find empty shelves and a deserted supermarket which, arguably, used to be one of the busiest in Mombasa. There were less than five shoppers at the time. Almost no food stuff on the shelves. Just clothes, shoes, furniture, hardware, kitchenware and some cosmetics left. The few staff members left are still friendly and courteous as they have always been.
