This is a classy old style hotel, with a great pool and surrounding garden area for eating. It's calm and quaint, rooms are huge and you feel transported to 50y ago... It's in the center near important areas, food menu is traditional, varied and well prepared.

Love this hotel! If you do go, please try there buffet! Great food options and they even go a step ahead to offer gluten and vegan food options! That’s one super awesome Cheff!
They always seem to never let me down!

A five star hotel of international standard. Unbeatable ! The garden facing the lobby is unique unlike in other hotels. The sitting area on the ground floor near the bar is very cozy n comfortable. The hanging umbrellas in this area do not blend with the ambiance, they should b removed. The staff r courteous n they make u feel special. Bravo to Serena Hotel Nairobi

I stayed here in March of 2017 for a couple of days. The staff was amazing and accommodating to our every need. The food in the hotel was fantastic. And they helped us to set up transportation when we needed to go out. The room was very comfortable and suitable for our needs. I would stay there again if I ever go back to Nairobi

Any time any time. The tomato soup and whole brown buns are my favorite choice on the soup menu. The dessert side for me being a sweet tooth I could derail you to a fill. Good food, service and environment. Can't wait for the new rooms and conference areas to be completed.

Some areas look old (e.g. reception) but in general it is a nice hotel. I haven't tried other hotels in Kenya though, so my comparison is against 5star hotels from other countries (in Europe) and may not do it justice. The rooms are big and nice but the mattress was not up to European 5 star hotel standard. Internet speed is average. Nice restaurant, good menu option, nice swimming pool. I see they are also currently expanding so it will likely get better soon.

It's a very warm ,cozy, friendly place that one can have a romantic dinner or even a lunch date .The service is good the people are very friendly and helpful .It has good security also not crowded. It has different hotels inside so you can choose according to your liking. The ambience is really good makes you feel like your just alone with the people or person you went with .I would really recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic place to have dinner or lunch with the one you love most

Absolutely stunning place. The interior is very intricate and lovely. The staff there are very warm. The food is nice with a wide range of variety. Despite being in the middle of the city, it's quiet and relaxing. It's quiet and away from the daily hussles of Nairobi. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone

Stayed at the Serena Hotel for a 3 day business trip. The hotel room was ample in size with an extra long bed that suit my long frame quite nicely. The room was well appointed with a laptop safe, mini fridge and ironing facilities. Unfortunately, the bathroom is quite small. One has to squeeze into the tub cum shower with very little room to spare. My room was located fairly close to a main road and was consequently quite noisy with the windows open.

Unlike most hotels, the Serena doesn't charge for room service, but they do make up for it with a quite pricey food menu. Notwithstanding, the meals were top class.

On the whole, the hotel is a good stay for a short business trip. I do however, think that the rates are quite steep and one could get similar or better standards for less the price elsewhere.

Excellent hotel with very professional levels of service. The location in Nairobi is also good with the hotel being close to down town Nairobi.
I also enjoyed the restaurant by the pool - excellent lamb chops here and though pricey were worth every penny.

One of the best hotels in Nairobi, very popular. It is currently undergoing partial reconstruction, which affects its comfort a bit. The main restaurant offers high quality food. Highly recommended for its beautiful pool.

Justly famed for its exceptional standards of efficiency, service and five-star hospitality, the elegantly sophisticated Serena Hotel in Nairobi Kenya is a member of the ‘Leading Hotels of the World’ group and is consistently voted ‘Best Hotel in Nairobi' by airlines and international travel magazines alike.

Despite its pivotal central hotel location in Nairobi, Kenya; the Nairobi Serena remains true to its title and offers an oasis of serenity amidst the bustle of one of Africa's most vibrant capital cities.

The art and the landscaping are beautiful at all Serena hotels. The Nairobi Serena is no exception. When traveling for business, I strongly prefer the Serena as it has a strong personality and sense of place, along with exceptional service. Expensive, though.

Our family booked an 8 day safari directly with Serena hotel, no middle man. It was terrific, airport pickups, driver/tour guides, hotels, food, transportation, and staff were all *****. They took care of everything other than tips.

Save yourself some money and book direct.

Expect consistent Serena quality here. Some major works are underway which should hopefully give it a more modern feel

Great service and excellent food. The hotel is undergoing a major ref so a little hectic to move around. However once refurbished, this will be one of the best hotels in Nairobi if not Kenya.

Five BIG stars... this hotel is all that and lives up to the hype. Probably the best food in hotels I have rated in Nairobi that have 5 star ratings. The service is also A1. Their breakfast is very pricey but worth every cent. A good place for a business meeting. Five minutes away from CBD. Piece of advice though... for visitors avoid the temptation to walk to town. The distance in between may look harmless but petty thieves will hustle tourists. Nothing serious... just a nuisance...
