  I am born in Nairobi. My father was passenger railway driver from Nairobi to Mombasa while Woking in Kenya Railways. I remember my family we travelled by train when my father driving the 59 Class Garrett Engine personalised to him. I remember our time at Mombasa Bamburi Beach.

  Arrived here with the overnight train from Nairobi, this station seems to be stuck in time like the rest of the line, being in a state of managed falling apart, with only the most essential maintenance being done.

  The overnight train from Nairobi to Mombasa is the classic and enjoyable way to travel between these cities. Spotting big game from the Nairobi-Mombasa night train has always been one of Kenya's great travel experiences, so make sure you include the train in your itinerary.
