Terrible experience. Too many delays and the attendants are so arrogant. It’s been 3 days and I’m yet to get my parcel. It was sent to Mombasa from Nairobi..shouldn’t be taking this long. Please use other courier services to send your parcels. Modern coast is a SCAM!!
The busses are comfortable and no disturbances so u can sleep at your own time
The actual location of Modern Coast Booking and Parcel office is next to Family Bank on Mombasa Road and not at the petrol station opposite Mash Booking and Parcel Office.
At the correct location, there are four marble-top counters: one for booking bus tickets, one for sending parcels, and two for receiving parcels. Queues were longer than expected but the service was efficient.
To collect a parcel you need the waybill number and your ID or passport. If you're collecting on behalf of someone else, you will need their ID/passport along with yours.
I got tickets last minute... You wouldn't get online but there are guys who return their tickets to the office if they have changed their travel plans. So kind!
Embu booking office has great staff and a friendly and helpful lady called Ann. Always serves with a smile. Never disappoints. Plus I got a free ticket for my wife after many trips.
One of the best transport company if not best I have ever been travelling with Modern from Western to Mombasa. Punctual carefully driven and proper handling of customer. I think this their strategy to outsmarts other travel companies keep it burning Modern
Booking, Many travelers within and without the country prefer to use Modern Coast. Handling luggage and customer relations well. A waiting room, well aerated, PA-system, electric sockets,,, just 😎 cool.
Parcel collection is too slow at the River Road Office in Nairobi.
The queue is long and the space is small and stuffy. On a hot day, you feel like boiling in your own sweat.
Can improve. Should improve.
I loved the service and timing
People get late, a noble business in the case would at least give a refund of a certain percentage. Having the only option of resheduling your ticket with an addition of half the ticket price is pure malice, unbusiness-like and unproffesional
Modern Coast has some nice and safe busses and then some really nasty busses. The problem is that you don't know what you'll get, so it's a bit of a gamble. Go with Mash Poa, for more consistently good service.
This is simply the worst but of all time... Buses arrive hours late ... especially in Mombasa..the drivers don't have a semblance of coordination. And it does not have anywhere to park their buses...very terrible...if the train wasn't full we would have taken it...next time we are flying....it's the worst coach service ever...(that I've been on)
Rude staff who take advantage of high turnout of upcountry passengers to make underhand deals... Management are no help here....
Worst bus ever.Poor customer service and time keeping, the bus left 2 hrs late and we got to dar es salaam at 4:45 am. The driver is always on phone anf will pick up strangers along the road. Also expect silly excuses for lost items.Air con doesnt work and the power sockets are faulty.
Bus picked up passengers on the road who turned out to be thieves. Three passengers lost their belongings. The crew was not helpful at all.
Dissappointed !! I waited for the bus for more than 45 minutes it's so unfair and the worst is poor reception from the Mombasa office kindly train your stuff on PR.
Its a neat place, with ticket counter and passenger's lounge nearby.
Best and safe bus to travel in
Good service. very old buses. Took me 12 hours from mombasa to nairobi.
Very efficient courier services. Staff have quality customer service skills.
Keeep it up.job well done.
Its noisy, crowded and sometimes very busy. They have comfortable buses though and a great customer Service
Offers the most organised and best upcountry and cross border service at the Kenyan coast.
It's a wonderful experience, I enjoyed my side all the way to and from Mombasa
The place for the best buses plying all major routes in East Africa.
My favourite is Oxygen to Nairobi. Now they have a bus from Mombasa to Kigali that is only VIP and first class.
