The new rooms in the new blocks are very exquisite. The character in them is definitely memorable. The place is really charming and retains the character of a colonial era jewel even with the modernization.

The excitement and finesse you see in hospitality staff elsewhere just isn't here. There is a level of sophistication you expect from a facility aspiring for premium standards that just isn't here. Motivation issues maybe. It feels rather impersonal. I don't know how else to put it

Midlands has been open since the 80s. My favourite stop over on my way to Eldoret always. Their breakfast buffet is phenomenal. They recently renovated their rooms. You can stay here for a pretty reasonable amount. I like that they keep on changing up the place to fit the needs of their customers.

Decent food and drink selection. Secure parking. Very accessible as it's right next to the main highway shuttling through Nakuru town. Friendly staff.

Probably the best chicken in the country served simply and fast. It is alleged they have a secret formula for grilling chicken well people have loved it since the 90s. They are renovating the old wing so looking forward to that. Always a good stop over. Stayed in the old wing a while back and it was about time to upgrade it. Have not stayed at the new wing but will try it next time I am in Nakuru

Very good food. Have a secret in roasting their kitchen, very delicious. Currently adding more space to host all of us. Very quiet, in middle of town. Good Wi-Fi connection.
