This place has nice Clean tents, a Masai walks around the tents of a night to ensure no hyenas etc come near. Problems with the hot water unfortunately and electricity and internet is scarce. Great place for back packers
Although it was rustic and things need to be kept up better, like no toilet seats in three of our groups tents, it was a sweet place and our home away from home for six nights.
A perfect gateway from the city, nature's display at it's best, clean fresh air in the morning, game drive during the day and a beautiful sunset in the evening.. I enjoyed my stay 🙂
Perfect environment, all the big five present, very big and vast land
Cool tented camp to rest when you visit the Maasai Mara. Good food too.
Good accommodation and close to masai mara park gate.
I stayed here a few years ago breakfast was good and hot, showers were hot but they do turn it off during the day. Beer was very expensive. Close to the gate and you can see animals from the camp.
It a camping site out Masai Mara national game park. It is a moderate affordable facility
A nice and cozy camp. The best advantage is being close to the masai mara national park, the staff are friendly and helpfull and finding a cold bear was so hard there ;)
Great locations closer to the game drive parks. Tents are decent with bathrooms and hot showers.
Nice tents with good facilities.
No complaints
Horrible.
The Manager, a mature man was very mean and unfriendly. Could not even give you a second of his time to explain anything.
The water and sink are very dirty, and you can NOT shower with the water nor brush your teeth with it. Yes. That DIRTY. We had to buy drinking water to at least to brush our teeth.
The water is also cold. We got there in the evening, at about 8 pm, were told to wait 3 minutes for the water to warm up but it never happened. We called the " manager " who said it was " too late to fix it, unataka nifanye nini?( what do you want me to do? ) traslation.
Following morning,6 am, there was no water at all. I went to tell the manage and he couldnt give me a minute to explain my problem. All he said was : we will work on it" while not stopping nor responding to my " good morning" . Honestly, there was nothing good about that morning.
The water was never fixed and he wasnt bothered. Mind you, i had told him about the situation at 6.am.
We couldnt stay there, we had to move. We couldnt freshen up nor flash the toilet. We had to leave.
Only when he saw us with our bags did he mention that a "guest had just moved, and we could use their room". Too little to late.
He apologized but hes level of professionalism is very low.
I would not recommend anyone to this camp. Go there at your own risk.
3.5 This camp is not bad in terms of price. Food is good enough to have and mixed tea or coffee is provided. If they were not, just ask staff. Electricity and hot water are limited. From 5:30 to 6:30 am and 6:30 to 10pm you can use it. In my case, the tent zipper did not work well, so I had a difficult in entering and coming out. If you pay more, you can have a more luxrious camp.
Low standards, dirty bedding, molded tents, mildew in the bathroom and dirty dinning area. Power is turned off at 10:30p back again at 5:30a to 7:30. The five rating before me is absolute contrast to what I experienced , the owner posted that rate for marketing purposes. The place was horrendous. Furthermore the company that booked us in Bonfire Kenya were very cunning and did not bother to explain to us what we were going to expect.
