  A week on safari - best value, great quality!
  "We hired a large pop-top land cruiser and driver from 'Market Car Hire' in Nairobi. They were seriously excellent to deal with, and to travel with. We had checked out the 'safari tour companies' and were astonished at how expensive they were! So we decided to drive ourselves - but the car hire place was such great value WITH driver included, we took that instead, and had a great time. Our driver, Christopher, was very professional, had excellent English, knew lots about the wildlife and couldn't help enough. We went to 3 parks (as we'd been to Masai Mara before) - Meru, Ol Pejeta and Nairobi National Park and loved them all. Forget the 'fancy' tour companies, this is at least as good, and about half the price."

  Ughh. Where to begin? I know, the KES 4060 overcharge for a week’s rental would be a good place to start. I was charged a daily rate of 6500 for 7 days instead of the stated flat rate of 42,000 for a weekly rental for a RAV4.

  I highly recommend Market Car Hire. We rented a Toyota Land Cruiser from them to use for game drives in the Masai Mara National Reserve. The company is in a great location for getting out of Nairobi easily. From my experience, I would say that the company is trustworthy and very professional. They provided us with solid, honest advice about driving trips in Kenya and were very knowledgeable.
