  Serene lake in Nyandarua county, be careful of hippos when you visit. Water not so fresh, as the lake has small outlet, but when water levels are low, prepare yourself to eat catfish and mudfish in plenty. Surrounded by a bush grassland, the neighborhood has not set up resorts or hotels so if you plan to visit carry your food, and look for a local to guide you. Check on ground fresh hippos footprints or poop to be on safe side!

  A wonderful place to visit with loved once for hippo and bird watching. The atmosphere is serene and a sun set there is simply breathtaking. You get camera shots that look too good to be realit's purely fantastic!

  this is where i was born. my home zone. i really Misses home and hundreds types of birds which makes this lake of its own kind + hippos & kabale type of fish. just do a visit and enjoys while viewing aberdareranges. very amazing place, also is the source of thompsonfalls.
