We first went there on Saturday at 1:00 pm and they were closing so we were asked to return on Monday. When we got back, we were given a lot of help and ideas to fit our needs, We were in need of some blankets to be used temporarily and we did not need some that were of high quality. They suggested some joined blankets and saved us a considerable amount of money while meeting our needs. Thank You for your courteous managers and your willingness to work with us.
Ken Knit Kenya Limited is one of Africa's leading textiles. It's golden period emerged in the 1970's and 80's, with Mr, Chandrashekhar Nair, taking the company to its zenith. It became an employement hub and the company's profits grew astoundingly. Mr. Nair soon became a renowned personality, and travelled to many countries, as a part of his job. He introduced "Nair Blends" and the "Seagull" brand symbol, which is still present today. He remains as a prominent figure, embraced by a considerable number of people, especially over the southern prospects of India, which again, gives us a glimpse of his global repute then
After an abrupt strike, conducted by the factory workers and management interferences in the company's functioning, only forced the situation to grow intense. Finally, with certain conflicts of the owners of the company, who were not ready to stop their incorrigible interference, Mr. Nair left his reputed post, and went back to his homeland, India.
Today, the company is headed by Mr. Amu Shah. The company has also been the core of textile opportunties, not only in 70's and 80's, but its prominence remains concrete even today. It has also won the highly acclaimed Kenya Revenue Authority Distinguished Taxpayer’s Award for the year of 2006 which was presented by the President of Kenya.
Even after enormous years of ultimate dominance, in the field of textiling, owing to the toils of Mr. Chandrashekhar Nair, and its recent growth, the company is still rooted to its past!
