The Kaya forest is considered to be an intrinsic source of ritual power and the origin of cultural identity. it is also a place of prayer for members of the particular ethnic group.

Really not much to see, all forest and not anything else, not even particularly beautiful compared to any other part of Diani and surroundings. The guide was very persistent talking about trees and their remedies, repeating the names in English, Swahili, Latin and a local tribe language. Too expensive (1500 shillings included a obligatory tip to the guide). Also not suitable for any one without a good physical condition.

This was a great couple of hours. The guide was humourous and well informed. We especially liked the 'medicine man' gems!
It wasn't expensive (1000ksh for tourists 500ksh for locals.) Surprisingly there were no mosquitoes even though it was a forest, this was explained by the face that in the dry season the only water near is salt water.
I'd definitely recommend this place!
