Karura is one of the best places to chill. The cool breeze that hits you in the hot afternoons is the one of the most exhilarating things about Karura. You'll see most things you need to see in a nice park.

It's conducive for running and cycling exercises too
They got bikes that can be lended to you at a small fee of 500.

    Tukutane Karura.

Good for its nature trails and forest scenery. There are small lakes in there with Park benches around them if you want to just do have a chat with someone. There are bikes for rent at an affordable Kshs 500. Cars are not allowed beyond a certain point, but then again no one goes to a nature trail to drive through it :). There are restaurants where you can have brunch. There is also large fields to hold events in. Keep in mind that plastics are not allowed in the park. Enjoy the forest!

100 shillings at the gate for Kenyans, 500 shillings for renting a bike for two hours if you'd like to ride through the forest. The ambiance is great. Don't go during the rainy season though if you plan on riding! The paths can be too muddy and thus they don't rent out the bikes. Overall wonderful experience for those that love nature and exercise.

Being at Karura makes you appreciate nature. The forest is a mix of planted and natural trees and boasts of waterfalls, caves and a variety of flora and fauna.

The paths are well labelled and ideal for a jogging, strolling and bike riding. Bike reservation fees are 500 Bob for two hours. Try using the map at the entrance to navigate your way through the forest

Visit Karura. You have to expert nice it to believe it!

Beautiful, green, clean, peaceful forest within a city. This is one of the lungs of the city. You can ride a bike, walk, run, play tennis, football or enjoy the great food at the River Cafe.
If you are ever in Nairobi, please give it a visit and go to the waterfall

If you love nature, you really must visit Karura forest. Such a peaceful and serene environment, perfect for a nature walk and listening to birds sing. If you can ride a bike, you'll find the best trails here. Seriously, don't leave before riding the trails. Take care not to get lost though :) it's very confusing. But good thing wardens are always on patrol so you'll get help in a few minutes.

It is very refreshing. Need some quiet and peaceful place to be amongst the green trees and those insect whistles some birds singing ,we don't get to hear in the midst of a busy city. Can enjoy a game of tennis with a friend or hire a coach to train you. A lovely cafe in there amazing environment.

You can never gst tired of this place. Very nice if you want to go for a mature walk/jog, you can have picnics here, ride bikes or simply have team- building activities. However, it is important to note that they are on a campaign against plastic so they do not allow any plastic bottles into the forest. You are advised to pack your liquids and foods into reusable containers- especially bottles. They do sell bottles at the gate if you forgot to bring your own.

Karura is a good place to unwind. It has made lake, waterfalls, caves, trails as well as a place for picnic. Rates are different for the different activities. One can hire a bike from there. There is a restaurant by the name River café. A field that can be used for sports/ events.

A complete fun package for the whole family. A wonderful picnic spot. Nothing can beat relaxing beside a waterfall or crossing it through your bike or through a natural bridge made from a tree. Nature walk, cycling track and an eatery what else one needs to complete a day. Bikes can be hired at a reasonable cost.

The meat there is really good. The service is exemplary.
I didn't give the 5 stars because of the hygiene conditions. You could find flies on the table. Kindly work on it
