Karen Country Lodge offers beautiful lodging in a quiet peaceful area outside Nairobi, with spacious cabins, good service and food, as well lovely gardens. Never seen a bathroom this big, however it is not a convenient one, as the sinks splash on to anything surrounding it. It was a comfortable stay, with decent wifi connection in the louareas, but none in the rooms.

Nice hidden gem in Karen. It's chilly so sweater up! 🙂 Had a cuppa tea and sausages. The tea comes in a pot so you get one and a half cups (bonus). Sausages come with coleslaw salad. So they do go the extra mile. Looking forward to going back for a proper meal

Tranquility redefined. I love the country feel and the lush green. The staff are super professional and helpful and the service is stellar. The food was good, not spectacular, but had an overall great experience.

We arrived at Karen Country Lodge for a breakfast meeting as a party of four. We were told two different prices for the buffet breakfast that was available - except that we couldn't choose the food for ourselves, the waiter would do it! He reeled off a menu from his head and could not answer our questions about how much it would cost if someone wanted just cereal or just coffee and some confectionery. He went off to check with his supervisor and took forever to come back. At some point we gave up waiting and went off in search of another place to have breakfast. Such a pity because the setting of the lodge is so pretty and we had been looking forward to eating here for a while.

This place is quiet, green, cool weather and best for a weekend relaxation. The Sunday roast will specifically blow your mind as you get to enjoy the well roasted meat and served the way you desire.
