Was here for my attachment and this place is lovely. Beautiful nature. The cool climate as you view the Ngong hills at the great mill stones that she used as tables ,The baroness Karen Blixen. I totally recommend one to visit this first house to be made a museum in Kenya ,Where Heritage Lives On. I loved guiding and also Customer Care during my attachment. The house where she lived is lovely and well preserved. Her paintings are just wonderful. And for that her life of a painter is continued by having a painter around the museum. It's just so lovely

I had read most of Karen Blixen's books and Out of Africa at 10 years of age. The tour guide was excellent and her presentation spot on. This was one of my trip highlights.

Out of the way, no coffee or drinks or food of any kind. Just look at the visitor book to see everyone complain about the lack of a Cafe considering the history of the place and Karen it would make sense to have one. The grounds are nice to see, the house is the same as any old style house the world over. Tour guides are very nice and try and make it interesting but unless you are die hard Karen fan I can't see how it can be.

Really enjoyed our trip to the Karen Blixen Museum. The grounds are beautiful and a relaxing place to spend an hour or two wandering around. We took the guided tour which was great and picked up some local art from a small stall at the side of the house.

If you've seen Out of Africa you will enjoy this tour of the Karen Blixen Museum. It's nice to put a place with the story.

If you've heard "I had a farm in Africa, at the foot of the Ngong Hills." before and loved the story or movie or book "Out of Africa" very much, this museum is definitely a must-see place for you. Otherwise, this site may be just like an old house of british-colony-period but it still worth paying a visit.

The tour was interesting and our guide knew everything about Karen Blixen. They didn't allow us to walk the nature trails.

Was here for a wedding. The grounds are rather big and well maintained. Didn't have the time to visit the museum but will sure do. Seemed a rather popular place for tourists.

It's worth visiting, especially if you're onto history. Upon registration, visitors are assigned a guide; even if you come alone, you will have a guide. There is a minimal entrance fee, but it's also nice to allot tip at the end of the walking tour around the compound. The museum is actually a house where Karen Blixen used to live, so it's the story that has deep meaning.
