Its a very dense forest and very huge but animals are not there.Its view is very awesome and very amazing.It was amazing experience going over there and we really enjoyed alot.It just makes us feel happy and very fresh breeze and its very lovable 😍

Kakamega Forest is worth a visit. It has a beautiful swamp and natural forest. However there's a lot of encroachment by the community.

The only rain forest in Kenya with different types of birds,trees,butterflies, monkeys. We enjoyed our one hour walk with the guide.The location of the gate is a bit different as per Google maps so got a bit lost,one need to head to Kenya forest offices.

Excellent nature trail. A good place to just relax, picnic and enjoy nature. No goods or snacks sold in there, so carry your own.

Kakamega forest reserve is very nice for birds , monkeys,snakes and butterflies .The only tropical forest East african region covering 3500 hectares .This forest is also endangered .

I've been coming here since I was little. It's beautiful, has nice picnic sites and the wardens are very nice. Get to see plenty of colobus monkeys which are just gorgeous. However you can see that parts of the forest are thinning out which worries me because this is the only tropical rainforest we have! We need to protect it!

Kakamega Forest is a beautiful rainforest north of Kisumu in western Kenya. Hiking in the forest is a wonderful experience, as the trees are teaming with bird life, monkeys, and butterflies. The variety of trees is really neat, from the giant fig trees to the unique wild palms near the Yala River.

Serene, cool environment. Perfect for the forest marathon. However, patches of deforestation are clearly visible. The authorities had better act, joining hands with conservationists to educate the locals on the need for conservation
