Doesn't look the way it's on adverts on internet
Very nice spot, pleasant vibe and great food. A little far from the rest of Diani but worth it.
Nice place home away from home, the beach is nice white sands and of less people so you gat it cool and mind relaxed. Humble stuff. One holiday there is not enough.
Awesome food. Great service. Beautiful beach.
It was alright. Nice views, nice food.
Fantastic place! Sunshine and pure happiness. Fabulous food. Perfect place to relax!
It's 10 roomed small hotel and has private beach. 3 of the rooms are villa type one. If you like privacy and no beach boys around, this hotel is for you. It's a bit far from ukunda town but tuktuk guys can take you for 500 hundreds or motorbike guys for 200 kes. We loved it so much. It's one of the best hotels on Diani/Galu beach. Food is around 1000 per meal. Not cheap but not so expensive as well
Awesome place with such a personal touch and the best manager you can imagine. It's not just a hotel, it's "home" - thank you so much for this wonderful stay. We will be back for sure :-)
Beautiful boutique hotel. The rooms are beautiful and furnished in a very modern Lamu style. On a very private stretch of Galu beach. Food and service are excellent
Great place to hung out with friends and family. Management and stuff very hospitable and forthcoming. Accommodation very good, everything very reasonably priced. Would recommend to a friend and looking forward to returning back to this piece of paradise. Thank you for your warm hospitality
If you want to feel the taste of Africa, you must visit this place. A boutique hotel right at the shore of the Indian ocean. With its secluded private beach where you can spend hours without being bothered by anyone as most probably you will be one of the very few people there.
I spent my holidays at Sonrisa twice, the first time in the apartment overlooking the ocean and the second time in a villa beautifully set in the garden. Both spacious, full of natural light, tastefully and comfortably furnished in the African style.
The food is fresh (some of the ingredients come from their own garden) and delicious - a combination of African, Indian and European cuisine. There is a pool and a bar from which you can watch the ocean. Iwona, the host, created this amazing place and its wonderful atmosphere to make a stay an unforgettable experience. The hotel staff is very friendly and polite and does their best to make you feel at home.
We had a wonderful experience at Sonrisa. Iwona and the team took good care of us. The service was very personalised. We ate at Sonrisa every day and the menu was highly varied so we never got bored of the food. Our favourite was Wednesday night when you get to share a big table with other guests and try a new dish prepared by the chefs for the first time. Water was complimentary with every meal (something not common in other places). We felt very at home, there was a lot of space and privacy was never an issue. The beach is right in front of the hotel and nothing like the crowded resorts on Diani further up the Coast. The area offers the chance to do daily trips and water activities. We highly recommend staying here (also for families). Greetings from Berlin!
