  It is the H/Q of the Catholic parish of Kanamkamer. About 2 kms south of Lodwar town.
  Mass here each morning at 6.30 am. Also on Wednesday at 4 pm.
  Sunday Masses at 7 am in Turkana language and 9 am in kiswahili.
  
  Outstations are mainly upriver at Kakamera, Naotin ,Nabuin, Kadopa, Moru Esse, Kalemegur, Koono, Kangalite, Kaekalel.
  Also on the road to Kitale at Loterere, Kimabur, Locheramoit, Nagetei.
  Within the village Mass is said at Nawiiterong ( Queen of Peace Girls Primary - Boarding), Canaan ( St Stephens High School- Day Secondary).
  
  Staffed by St Patricks Misssionary Society.
  Assumption Sisters of Eldoret who look after St. Patricks Dispensary and Queen of Peace P/S. And Pastoral in the Parish.
  The Mercy Sisters look after St Stephens H/School.
  A Brother of Utrect lives in the parish and looks after Street children in Lodwar.
  So I like the Parish. It is alive and well.
