  Very nice house 100 meters from the beach. It is surrounded by lush forest and has a very peaceful feeling. The staff was very nice and the food, although rather simple was tasty.
  The watamu Beach is great at low tide (couple of hours around 10am). It is a great place to stay for groups and families

  I loved the place, amazing scenery and Kite surfing is done here. Quite clean and quiet.the food I didn't quite like something was very off with it hope they improve it but the restaurant is quite spectacular with quite a variety of foods just improve on the main course meal.

  Don't go if you are not Italian. They are set up for Italians. They like Italians. Not so much other Europeans. Food is 50/50. Staff are poorly trained. Rooms comfortable with hot water but no wifi or TV. No water, no kettle. The management are control freaks. I was challenged whilst relaxing in the pool as to whether I was a guest. Then they came back again to ask me to prove it. That is unacceptable. The staff have no common sense whatsoever. I was harrased for taking a tea 5 minutes early at breakfast. Not how a guest should start the day.

  Good location, pools food etc but the management can do with an improvement. The music system cuts off regularly. The rooms aren't checked before issuing to guests. My room had no hot water during the stay and then my bathroom was flooded on the last day. Their staff are not concentrating and so make stupid errors regularly. Pool is salty like the sea. This was an unpleasant experience and i use a large range of pools. Their pastries are rock hard, dont bother. Overall good resort but average performance.

  An absolutely stunning atmosphere with lovely swimming pools.
  They have the best animation team I have ever come across, and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable.
  The best part is that it is a pet friendly resort!
  I will definitely be back very soon!

  Beautiful resort. The rooms are clean and sufficient,no complaints there. The staff is very friendly and quick to help out with plans in town. Most of all the food. The food is exactly what you want to be eating on holiday.

  Lovely place. The staff really tries their best to entertain the only guests they have; Italians. The beach and rooms are really nice. You only have to cross the closed Gecko resort which is quite rundown.

  The resort is beautiful and the seafood is great, but what is really incredible is the shore! It is also possible to have a great kitesurf experience.

  Best resort in Watamu! Situated on the most white and clean beach! Rooms are big and spacious. Restaurant has italian and cousine.

  Gecko/Garoda resort is flooding the beach with very bright lights at night. Very irresponsible as this keeps turtles from breeding there. It's one thing to earn money with nature - it's another thing to join efforts to preserve this nature. All the other resorts have no or very minimal light, why not Gecko?

  The staff are very friendly. The rooms, very clean. Good food, perfect beach. My only choice of resort whenever I go to Watamu. Simply amazing.

  Amazing and awesome. Really loved it. Very courteous and friendly welcome by Nancy & Japhet. Exemplary service by all the staff and management. Good rooms,well air conditioned,beautiful beach. Must make a repeat stay. Thank you, Garoda.
