It is a very beautiful setting with trees on the lakeside. The restaurant is very nice with good food. You can camp in tents but it can be noisy at times if there is a group of kids or people drinking but overall it is a nice place for tent camping. You can go for nice boat rides around Lake Naivasha for around 3,000 ksh. per hour. You will often see hippos on the boat rides or around shoreline of the campground. They do have a dock where a few people can fish but if they could build a better pier allowing for more fishing it would be better. If you don't like tents they do have numerous little cottages both in the lower and upper camps. The upper camp has nice views of the lake. There are some people at the campground who rent out decent bikes. We have been to this place many times over the years and would recommend it.

    Best camping experience in Kenya.

My family has been calling at Fisherman's for as long as I can remember. There's something magical about this place - the slightly haunting lake with a rickety jetty to boot, hippos groaning through the cold, biting nights, lighting your first campfire, setting up tent under an acacia tree while being watched by a curious colobus family - you simply cannot ask for a better camping experience!

There place has been upgraded recently with a wooden Banda, which features 4 queen size bunk beds inside a very cosy cabin seeing. There is a new toilet and shower block, still serviced by an old time firewood burner which is lit every evening and early morning. Bikes may be rented, and firewood for a campfire is on sale at the office. Mosquitoes are thankfully scarce, though better to be prepared with anti bug preparations just in case.

For those keen on roughing it with few creature comforts, Fisherman's offers the real deal! Definitely worth a visit.

For a family getaway or retreat experience, this place is great. Their services could do with some improvement, but overall we had a great time.

We did not stay at Fisherman's Camp, we just ate at the restaurant. The food is excellent and price is affordable. I recommend the Chicken Mozzarella pesto with mash potato and the exquisite banana milkshake. Very friendly staff.

Came here from hells gates, but the actual gates to hell was there. We were waiting for 3 hours for the food here, though it looked nice, with a lot of people.

We were there at Easter: load music into the night. Management and security not capable of doing anything to address it. Stay away when its a public holiday unless you like sleeping in the middle of a bunch of drunks.

The camping site is good. The washrooms are good when compared to others in neighboring camping sites . The service is a bit wanting though. We had to wait for almost an hour to get mattress which are very thin considering you are sleeping on the ground. It's a dark camp they should consider putting up lights on trees like in other camps.
The Worst Experience was the restaurant. The staff at the restaurant were rude and openly showed their preference for foreign guests as opposed to national guests. Our food took like 4 hours and we eventually ate after one of the waitresses (light medium sized woman ) asked us not to even bother going back there just because we asked why our food was served 4 hours late and all the foreign guests who came after us were served first .
So unless something changes I would advise people to eat elsewhere or carry their own food.
