This hotel is on the river with hippos all over all day and night. The hotel is high so hippos cant get to you wich makes it perfect to sit and watch them from a few lookout points. The food and service are excelent. I Highly recommend it. I have stayed here twice.

Stunning property in the Masai Mara, the staff are welcoming and provide memorable services. The glamping accommodation in luxury tents is comfortable and fully equipped, with indoor and outdoor hot showers - talk of home away from home in the African bush. Not forgetting to mention that all tents overlook the Mara River where hippos would lounge. The electric fence voltage is not high enough to kill any animal but just efficient to sting and keep them away.
Apart from game drives (two per day, with professional guides that make sure you spot and photograph quality game), there are so many things to do and enjoy within the Mara Safari Club. *Request for Anthony (Tony) as your driver/guide, he's info-packed about the Mara, Maasai culture and a charming soul.response / report this review -

Wonderful location, with the terrace literally on top of the Mara river. All tents (if you can call those "tents", where I come from, tents don't have stone floors, electricity, running cold and hot water) overlook the river, meters away. The food is delicious, service friendly and efficient, all staff eager to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. Of course, game viewing is the crux of the matter and everything is organized around the experience around the wildlife. Highly recommended.

Beautiful luxurious paradise, where there is nothing that is too much trouble for the smiling staff to do to enhance your stay. Two game drives each day give a wonderful opportunity to see and photograph the Big Five and so much more, and where the scenery is out of this world. The perfect place for a holiday of a lifetime which will you wanting to return.

The guides, safari drivers, wait staff & every person we encountered was kind and welcoming. The food was amazing! Do keep your tent closed tight at all times, we had a visitor one night eating a leftover Kenyan pastry we had thrown in the garbage, likely a Bush Baby!

Mara Fairmont was a very enjoyable stay.I enjoyed my stay because of the very helpful & friendly staff.The food was really good and they had variety at all meal times.The accommodation was comfortable, clean at all times & spacious. And last but not the least,the game drives were great.Our driver & guide was able to answer all the questions with ease and he was able to help us spot all the animals we longed to to see & we're able to take nice photographs. I would love to visit again in the future.

The Maasai Mara is a World Class Safari Club. I have been there 3 times and each time was as exhilarating as the 1st. Its well worth the money. The have good food and will even wake you in the morning with cookies and hot drinks before the morning safari. Don’t forget that you can dance with the Maasai !!

I wish I could wake up in our tent at Mara safari club everyday The soothing sound of Mara river flowing accompanied by the beautiful songs by the birds.this place is a true Paradise. I loved getting to know the friendly staff who were all absolutely terrific. The food was delicious too! Our game drive driver, John was very knowledgeable and personable. Thank you for such a wonderful week! Can't wait to go back again!

We went in May, low season, we were the only guests. Someone stole money from our tent while I was on a game drive safari the last day and they did not take responsibility. Do not be fooled by the over-friendly kindness of the employees, they steal you and you cease to be an important guest.

Incredible! The service is very hospitable and the accommodations are luxurious. Such a wonderful experience getting to sleep in a safari designed tent overlooking the Mara river filled with hippos. The buffets were wonderful and varied often enough that we were never bored or tired of the meals.

Boy I also cannot speak more highly of this place, the food was super duper, the tents and accommodations were luxurious and the staff was super friendly, the game drives were awesome, we saw the big five and 2 leopards and It was the perfect place to relax a bit and enjoy yourself. I recommend this place a hundred and fifty three percent.

Perfect for a weekend out of the city, drive from Nairobi is smooth with beautiful scenery and once you get there you immediately feel the serenity and peacefulness of the place. Food is great, staff is very kind and helpful. Ask for a room with the view of Mount Kenya for one of the best sunrise and sunset experience.

I cannot speak highly enough of our experience here. The safari itself is great with so many animals of every species seen and very nice land cruisers. The accommodations are luxurious. The food is great. The staff here are what really make the experience so great.

This place is all that and then some. Five stars it has a 9 hole golf course open for guests so pack your golf kit in the car when you drive there and a garden that is out of this world. The view from the room in the morning is beautiful beyond the staff are pleasant and some of the most professional hotel personnel I have interacted with
