A nice little rustic shopping center in what is very similar to the wild west, only better looking with lush green fields of wheat and barley etc all around and whats even better is that part of The Aberdare Ranges are just a stones-throw away from here.
Our Grandpa, Iriga Senior has a wheat farm with quaint log cabins and a small forest that still hides one of the caves used by some of the Mau Mau freedom fighters as a hide out.
His kitchen actually sits on where a British regiment had a base camp in the colonial days.
This is a mere walking distance from this shopping center so its naturally one of my favorite holiday spots in Kenya.
This general area of Endarasha is a nature lovers paradise with natural mountain bike and hiking tracks. A wide range of other outdoor pursuits (self organized) are feasible from here.
Hopefully someday there'll be some paragliding and other such facilities for other adrenaline junkies.
