  Lake Turkana is a beautiful place, but I wouldn’t recommend staying at Eliye Springs Resort, which is totally overpriced for what it is. The facilities are run down, the food is not particularly good and the service is terrible with poor communication all around. I have never met a lodge owner, who runs the place with as little dedication as the owner of Eliye Springs Resort, Rolf. While he hung out at the place most of the time, he refused to even talk to us, even when we were encountering problems. The problem in Turkana seems to be the monopoly of such places, but I’m sure you’ll find a better place than this.

  The lake is for each water, warm as a bath, clean sand, good restaurant, cold beer and the owner Rolf is great company.
