Based right next to the second largest lake in the world; Lake Victoria, a wonderful spot to see some rare bird species. It offers a really awesome view and a relaxing feeling, good rooms, welcoming service. Gave a 3 star coz they didn't have my favourite drink Guiness( how can you not have Guiness in Kenya?)

What this place has going for it is location. However, I feel their service and food doesn't do justice to this place. It's right by the beach. If you are coming from Kisumu it's just past Usenge so you can take a vehicle to Usenge from Kisumu then take a motorcycle taxi for 30ksh to the place. Service is not that great and the furniture seem dated. I suppose because of being exposed to the elements outdoors. The menu is a little overpriced and their cooking is nothing that write home about. I had a plate of fish and chips,there were aunt's all over my table and the fish was rather bland. It's still a great place to be right by the lake and feel the lake breeze. There's also a kids playground. It's a great beach concept that's not too common around these parts inspite of the presence of the lake.

Very nice place by the shores of lake Victoria in usenge. Its beautiful and simple. The cabins were okfood was great. Staff were very friendly. I'd go back again. Place is very pocket friendly

Beautiful view by the beach. A nice place for a family outing. The rooms are not very clean and better management of the environment especially fumigation is needed to manage the mosquitoes.

Affectionately known as 'Mombasa Raha' by the locals, this place really is a beauty. It is situated some distance from the mouth of R. Yala which is essentially two lakes (L.Sare and L.Victoria) divided by a road.
The beach is very beautiful, and the scenery makes it a hard place to leave. The service is pleasant and friendly But nothing beats the scenery. This is a place you'd love to visit with your friends.
PS: carry your swim suit with you. The waves are very enticing and the beach is really clean. Please avoid littering it.response / report this review -

Great view and great service staff. Most of the menu is still being built up but the local staples are on hand. Come with an open mind, you may just get surprised.

I have just come from a week stay at.Crystal Charlotte Beach Resort and I didn't want to come back home!!!
The rooms were luxurious with bed loungers at the terraces or balcony in the deluxe rooms. The cuisines changed everyday and there were quite a range for everyone.
The infinity lake,the climate the entire ambiance was breathtaking. Many places to sunbathe as the birds sung their beautiful melodies and the staff at this resort couldn't do more to help you. Best of all we would say our best thank you to the manager the staff they made our stay such good fun and so welcoming. It was a honeymoon we will always cherish.response / report this review -
