the rooms were too dark,had to switch on the lights during the day,the cottages are dirty and filthy,the housekeeping keeping staff did the bare minimum,they couldn't even spread the bed well or clean every part of the room,they claimed that they change towels and bedding's after 2 days..who does that!the restaurant is very far with staff who kept on asking for tips shamelessly to do a room service,dstv channels were not working,we were stuck with kbc only,no hot water,only salty water,i feel they charge too much for such services,i couldn't wait to go back home,dissatisfied customer.beach not accessible.

Gorgeous compound, very green with old trees. Well maintained but a natural look. The staff was incredible. We felt cared for and very welcomed. The cottage was spacious, rooms with their own baths, clean with a big kitchen. We chose to self-cater, so went grocery shopping. Upon request, someone made chapatis for us. We sat on the spacious balcony and just watched the Indian ocean as the sun set. Definitely recommend. The beach has sand so white it looks like a photoshopped image. Watch out for nasty sea urchins during the low tide! That strip of beach isn't great for swimming, had to hike across some rough rocks for a swim. Try the camel rides!!
2 hour drive from Moi Int'l Airport was too long and $40 after negotiating. Next time, we try Ukunda Airport.response / report this review -

Excellent hospitality with very friendly staff, my family weekend retreat and sea food recipes taught at the cottage by the hired cook was awesome. We shall be coming back for sure, more than once. keep it up.
