Last night I was taking a shower and I turned around and saw a finger pulling back my curtain, I was so terrified I screamed bloody murder and ran out of the shower and slipped in the tile and bruised my whole side and split open my arm. I was just laying there shaking unable to move from shock. After screaming no one came and I had to call the hotel from my cell phone cause I was terrified to walk outside. The security guard that was supposed to be securing my safety totally violated my privacy and when I asked the staff to call the police they pleaded with me not to say anything. When the police came they lied to them and said that he was checking to see if the water was running. This place is not secure! No woman should feel safe here.

The accomodation was very good.
The dining experience was the worst I have ever experienced. We ordered from our room then were told to come down quickly. We had ordered chicken tikki marsala with chapatis. After seating in dining room we were approached 4 times asking us if we wished to order. After 30 minutes we were told they had no chapatis. The person with me changed their side dish and I reordered steak and chips. Orders came two serves of tikki marsala and a plate of chips. Finally was told no steak and offered fish.Other person finished meal and I had eaten the chips with no sign of fish. I cancelled the fish and left paying for chips & other meal. Staff thought it was funny and smirking when complaint made. STAY but DONT EAT THERE!!!!

This hotel is good if your expectations are fixed. We paid US$15 per night (with large free breakfast), the room was clean and comfortable, the toilet worked, and the shower was hot. It was up to rural Kenya standards, was probably almost as good as the $60 place across town, and plenty good for anyone accustomed to more adventurous travel -- just don't expect U.S. or European standards.
