  The actual name of this place is Cardinal Otunga's Development Centre and Pastoral. It is an excellent place for groups to stay when visiting Rongo.
  
  The rooms are small and bare, but clean and in good condition. Each room has one small bedroom and a bathroom. There is a door between the bedroom and bathroom. The bedrooms have two twin beds and a desk, and there are mosquito nets over the beds. The bathrooms have a stand-up shower, a sink, and a western-style toilet (although the toilet seats are often broken because the Kenyans like to stand on them). There is no separation between the shower and the rest of the bathroom. The bedrooms and bathrooms have electric lighting, and the shower and sink have hot water. There is an electrical outlet in the bedroom. (I don't remember if the bathroom has one.) I think there are ten rooms for available for guests, but there might be more.
  
  The price in 2012 was 600 Ksh. per person per night. They will also provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner upon request. I believe lunch and dinner each cost 500 Ksh. per person and breakfast costs 350. The food is very good and the friendly sisters who cook the food are happy to tailor the menu to your liking.
  
  In 2011 or 2012 they constructed a new concrete building containing one large meeting hall and a small meeting hall. The meeting halls are very basic, but they provide tables and chairs. The meeting hall rooms rent for 2000 Ksh. per day. The large hall might seat about 150-200 people. The small hall might seat about 50. There are electrical outlets in the meeting halls.
  
  The dining hall where the meals are served is very large and can also be used for meetings and gatherings.
  
  One of the sisters there provides laundry service. The cost is 20 Ksh. for large items and 10 for small items. They do not have an electric dryer, so sometimes it can take 2-3 days for the laundry to dry (particularly during the rainy season).
  
  The centre is gated and has a guard posted at night. There are also guard dogs (who will chase you if try to leave your room at night).
  
  The rooms are arranged in the shape of an octagon, with a courtyard in the middle. In the middle of the courtyard is a gazebo that can seat about 12.
  
  At the very back of the centre is a painted cinder block house with concrete floors that used to be the personal home of the bishop, but it is now used to accommodate up to seven guests. The house has one large bedroom and two smaller bedrooms. The large bedroom can fit three twin beds and it has a lot of cabinet space. Each of the smaller bedrooms can fit one twin bed. One of them has a closet and a vanity, and the other one only has cabinet space. There is also a large sitting room at the entry of the house. The sitting room has two cushioned chairs, a coffee table, a desk, and some built-in cabinets. There is plenty of space in the sitting room for a couple of twin beds. The house has has a toilet room with a sink and a toilet, and there is a separate shower room with a door. All of the rooms have electrical outlets.
  
  Cardinal Otunga's is located near the matatu staging area, so it is very convenient to walk out the front gate and catch a matatu, a taxi, or a piki-piki.
