The stadium has been renovated and now able to accommodate games of international standards.The place is just a few kilometres from kakamega town and has recently hosted major football matches.In addition to this Kakamega County where the stadium is located is endowed with major rivers and forests.While in the Stadium one can see the expansive equatorial rain forest from a short distance away.The place has high rainfall well distributed throughout the year.The famous crying stone is not far away from the area.The infrastructure is also very well developed and the process is continuing with major roads being tarmacked by the County Government in collaboration with the national Government.
