Blue Ridge hotel is one of the most beautiful hotel in Western Kenya with top class service friendly and respectful staff. I was very impressed with their cuisine I loved it.

Service is rather slow and unwelcoming.. soft drinks are overpriced
Other than that, the rooms are clean and well furnished. Rooms with a view of the lake are the best to watch the sunrise/sunset

Excellent affordable accommodation. Breakfast lacks in variety. The bar is not well stocked, but all in all a good place to spend a night.

We checked in as a group in 21st December, 2016 at 8.30pm. We were here to cover the Rusinga Cultural Festival.
By 10pm, we'd discovered that our personal belongings had been tampered with; and laptops, cameras, phones and money had been stolen. The management was very lax in dealing with our situation and by the time the police were called, it had been well over half an hour.
I will not be coming back here and hope that the management is put to task. Also, the police and staff were too calm in such a traumatic situation.
