I finally made it here for dinner. Of late with the crazy weather, it is very cold and since it an outdoor kind of place they give you the masaai shukas to help you keep warm. I loved the place from the time i entered, the ambience is awesome . I had pork chops with fries while my date had steak with fries. The food was delicious, large portions and affordable. The waiter who served us was very attentive and in great help when it came to decide what to eat. Sadly, i didn't get his name but we totally enjoyed your service sir. I would totally recommend this place but just come dressed up real warm.
I hope all the Nairobeans know that this place not only exudes cool it grows it and sells it to you.
Menu is pan Asian inspired loveliness, served by people who want you to love it as much as they do.
Visit soon. Good things never last.
Went for a quick dinner with the family. Food came out quick and was delicious. I had the smoked salmon roulade and the family both had pan fried red snapper. Ambience was beautiful and relaxed. Great way to end the day.
Easily one of my favourite places in Nairobi. It's a gem. They have one of the best customer service I've seen anywhere else. The Manager, Wanjiru is the BEST! Their menu is to the point, you are not bombarded with endless pages of food that will leave you confused. There's something for everyone, their vegetarian option is also pretty impressive. And the AMBIENCE. .. THE BEST! Lush and green and fresh. I LOOOOVE IT!
My first time at Arbor Place was really nice. I'd never heard of the place, (though I really should've). It's homely atmosphere keeps it apart from any other "restaurant" in Nairobi.
The house works as an antique and curios shop, where one can browse and buy as you wait for a table.. (yes, one has to call in booking especially on the weekends when it gets busy - brunch o'clock!)
The food selection was good, not too wide, but more than adequate for a regular Joe like myself. Choice of alcohol was pretty good.
I had the roast steak and it was everything! 👌🏽
Loved it! Totally made my Sunday! Will definitely be showing up more often here..
Very nice variety of food. Plenty of outdoor seating. If you're a large group or just our on a date this is a perfect choice
This is one of my favourite hangouts in Nairobi. I love the laid back, homely outdoors atmosphere. I love the little craft shops and the garden nursery that sells herbs and other plants. They sometimes have live music and host craft markets. The thing that keeps me going back though is the food; from the refreshingly creative smoothies to indulgent potato wedges, I can't get enough.
Good ambience and setting. The lamb chops with fries are awesome. Very good milkshake too!
Nice place. Very large meals. A bit on the pricey side but reasonable. Easy location to get to and lovely items in the shop. Amazing gardens.
If you're looking for a quiet place to relax, then this is perfect spot for you. They have a lovely garden that you can chill from and a swing that is just amazing to sit and swing from and think about your life. Their wraps are really good and quite filling though I found them to be quite pricey as compared to other places. I first tasted Turborg beer here and it is now my favourite beer brand. Their WiFi is fast and they have clean washrooms.
Absolutely delightful and magical place.
Staff is friendly but the only reason I am giving it a 4 is because sometimes you can really wait for servers (so maybe additional staff is needed?). The environment helps ease the wait and the food and menu is awesome.
Great spot when the sun is shining, but conversely - this is when you may need to book ahead. The asian dishes on the menu are solid, even if not 100% authentic. Great lemonades!
The food is excellent and the prices are super good.
Great outdoor ambience. Colorful, cosy and peaceful. The food was well plated and very tasty. (I had the Arbor burger). The servers are also friendly and the wait isn't too longjust the right amount of time.
Upscale but also laid back, The Arbor is in the tradition of Nairobi garden restaurants, but avoids being stuffy. The cool vibe here permeates everything - from the south east Asian influenced menu (which is excellent), accompanying drinks, classy but casual furniture and gift shop, and the appropriately named D'Vine Cosmetics shop talking to the staff, I gathered that the lab where D'Vine products are formulated is also situated here. Free WiFi is on offer alongside the fab food. And with the added bonus (when I was there) of the owners golden retriever puppy gamboling about in the sunny garden, it couldn't have been better.
The place was beautiful with it's own serene charm though the service was slow with inattentive waiters. I disliked the washrooms for they offered little privacy. Certain items in the menu were great👌 while others were still good. The playing area for kids is meant for the younger toddlers of 1-2 years in a small area where one can watch them.
I reccomend it for small groups who want a nice meal with little disturbances like noise from the people around them.
Doesn't advertise itself as Asian - but has amazing Southeast Asian food, in a really cool Malaysian Garden setting. Free flow Mimosas the last Sunday of every month are definitely worth it!
Great food. Lovely setting. A bit slow.
Wonderful outdoor space filled with young families and attractive people from all over the world. Portions can be small (especially for breakfast) but food is always good. Cocktails are decent as well.
I have been here several times and the place is so amazing, I even decided to host my wedding reception here. It's a charming little place with lots of character and a rustic homely vibe. If you are looking for a simple yet elegant garden restaurant with great food and great ambiance, this is the place. The staff is prompt and polite, the food comes within a reasonable amount of time and one never ceases to experience a sense of enchantment at the arbor. It is my new favorite restaurant in Nairobi.
