Great especially visiting all the area from Kimana Gate to Iremito gate. View if mount Kenya are amazing as long as weather is not cloudy. Lions are hard to spot but still possible. Indeed great sanctuary of Elephants, Giraffe and Ostrich

Out of this world! Absolutely stunning lodge. The up market tents were incredible, the food, top class and gorgeous. Graeme and Candy were amazing hosts, we couldn't have asked for more. We would love to return and stay longer. It really is a very special place.

It was a good safari. so exciting to see all the animals in their natural habitat. But only go camping if you are an outdoor person (am not)! Otherwise,book a hotel. Good place though!

Park has lots of animals, except leopards and rhinos - according to the locals, these are not native to Amboseli. Saw lions, giraffes, buffalo, etc. Gorgeous place, under the stunning backdrop of the beautiful Mt Kilimanjaro. Definitely put it on your bucket list if you love elephants and amazing landscapes. We were also lucky enough to see a Caracal.

One of the most magnificent experiences in my life. Simply awe inspiring. No bucket list is complete if it fails to include a visit to the cradle of humankind. And I cannot imagine a more wonderful place to serve as my base camp than this facility. The service, the attention to detail, the dining were world-class. Do yourself a favor and go!!!

A must do national park. Elephants and Mt.Kilimanjaro are the highlights. We saw a lot of elephants and lot of other animals. The animal density is huge here. A treat to the eyes. And we were lucky to see Mt.Kilimanjaro as it was a clear day. But the park is very dusty. It is recommended that you take a face mask or something to cover the nose and mouth.

Such a lovely place to be. So great to see the wild animals and more so,the Lions. The scenery is just awesome. I loved the Observation Hill View Point,here you get to view like the whole landscape of Amboseli. Its great

The place has a breathtaking view of the highest mountain in Africa, Mt. Kilimanjaro surrounded by various accommodation facilities including Bandas owned by the Kenya Wildlife Services which are cheap compared to the rest. Game drives are available to view the animals including elephants, zebras, antelopes and ostriches among others. Really enjoyed my stay in the quiet environment that is characterized by occasional humming of birds.

Nice place. Hot in December so no cats visible during the day. Lots of elephants in the swamp with the hippos. View of Kilimanjaro was outstanding. Definitely a place to visit if you are going to Amboseli!!

The most beautiful of all parks in East Africa. It's even better than the Mara, when Mara is not being visited by the migrating wildebeest. Absolutely the best place on earth to photograph elephants in the golden hour.

One of the tourist attractions of Kenya Wildlife. The park is well known for the African Elephants. Lions, zebras, wildebeest, Ostrich and more. Conditions become very dusty though. Mt. Kilimanjaro in the backdrop gives great photo opportunities. A must visit place !!

This park is mainly well known for its Elephants, its being a much smaller park than others you see different animals mingling together which is definitely quiet an experience.If you are lucky you can see Mount Kili in the backdrop

After living in Kenya for 8 months, Amboseli has become my favorite park to visit. I love the diversity of the animals and the landscape. There are dry areas that resemble deserts, especially in the dry season. Then there are marshes and tropical landscapes, with plenty of acacia trees in the park. The backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro is amazing, although you can't be guaranteed visibility at all times. We never saw it clearly while we were in the park. As with most parks in Kenya, expect a lot of traffic with safari vehicles, particularly on the weekends and holidays. Make sure to take a trip to Observation Point to see a wonderful view from above.

Started our Kenyan Safari trip from here. It was a lovely experience. The park is smaller in area as compared to Mara or Serengity, with most of the animals being "residents" . So they don't actually migrate. Thus, the animal sighting is high and these can be seen almost through the year. We were lucky to spot a pride of lions, eating and then storing their kill in a bush.

Highly overrated! The park is very dry and dusty desperately needing rain. Other than elephants, buffaloes, zebras and some antelope kinds, (which are in pretty much every national park in Kenya) there is nothing much. Even the park is thinly populated. We spent 2 days and did not manage to see a single lion. The park is extremely small as well. We even saw some animals dead due to lack of grass to graze. Unless the situation changes or if you have plans to visit Masai Mara, Serengeti kind of parks, I would recommend to avoid this.

Amboseli means dust in Zwahili. We arrived in June and didn't find it that dusty. Amboseli is a beautiful area with many Elephants, Gnoe's and Zebra's. On our way back we even spotted three cheetah's. Furthermore Amboseli offers the best view on the mighty Mount Kilimanjaro.

You can access the park from Kimana gate. I would highly recommend a very early morning drive,this will ensure you get to see most of the wild animals. While in the park,always view the animals while inside your vehicle,only alight at designated spots,safety first!

A colleague and I visited the park in 2015. Some of the best wildlife viewing I have ever had the honor of experiencing. The roads are well maintained, making it very easy to get around the park. The animals (zebras, giraffe, elephants, gazelles, wildebeest, water buffaloes, lions, and many many many birds (ostrich! in the wild!)). It is truly amazing that they are all out there just roaming around the flats without a care for the rest of us (seemingly). Did I mention there were birds? Lots of 'em. I wish I had gone with a bird person, there were so many stunning species that I didn't know anything about. But the elephants are the stars of this park. To top it off, the lodges within the park are top-notch and the views of Mt. Kilimanjaro are stunning (day and moonlit nights, the elephants regularly roamed right outside the lodge's fences and could be seen from my room's window). My only regret is that we didn't have time to experience more of the Masai culture (nearby).
