Amani is a quiet cafe tucked just off Riverside and Oloitoktok. It has a relaxed feel, with tables set outside in a garden. It is appropriate for kids with an outdoor play area nearby.

The food was quite bland and unimpressive relative to the prices paid. They could do more to make their menu and meals a little different. I could have easily and more quickly prepared the meals served for a tenth of the price. The double americano I ordered would have been a single at any other restaurant.

That being said, I still found I enjoyed my meal, most likely because I had such a relaxed experience. There's nothing explicitly magical about the place, but there something implicitly peaceful.

They also have a shop selling a myriad of handmade bits and bobs, from clothing to pillow cases to toys. The patterns used are vivid and well cut. Worth a visit for this alone if you like to shop or need to pick up a few gifts before flying home.

A great place for a healthy lunch. It is run by a women's group and has a garden where you can eat outside and has a playground for kids. There is also a craft shop with some great stuff in it.

The food was good. The portions were huge for the salads. I had the Mexi-Kenya salad and it was very good.

Great place for a family outing. Meetup with kids. Clean bathroom facilities. Sandpit and slides for the kids. Would give it a 4 but their menu is very limited and they don't have French fries or icecream. And no alternatives for kids that can't take wheat. They are great for salads if you like salads. Not the place for savoury meals.

Nice, relaxing location with quality, well-presented East African tourist goods. Unremarkable menu and small portions for prices that belong on a more impressive menu.

Good food but Poor poor service from the wait staff. We were given used napkins with oil stains.

Great food and love the garden setting. Just that your food takes way too long to arrive.

A very good place for office lunch and great for kids. They have the little tables and chairs. But it is outdoor therefore more suitable in mild weather.
