Creativity of fhe artisans. Tradition of passing art from genarration, no formal art school. Artisans iearn from one another thru observation of work in progress.

Great to see how the wood carvings are made and even better to see some of the carvers have started looking for more sustainable types of wood to carve from rather than using the rare and slow growing ebony and rosewood. Needs more tourists to buy the sustainable carvings so the other carvers will move this way as well. The Kenyan ebony trees are nearly all gone and the Tanzanian ebony is disappearing as well.

Very skilled people here and very friendly especially Obama who asked me to take his photo next to photo of Barrack Obama.

Visited here a few times and one day the women in sale room will smile lol

Unbelievable! Very cool place to go and check out. If you are looking to get some really cool hand carved stuff this is definitely the place to go! The showroom is massive with thousands and thousands of things to choose from at very reasonable prices. It is also very interesting to walk around the village and see all the incredible artists creating the things you see in the showroom. Also, anything you want to have made can be special ordered!

Место, куда стараются привезти туристов. Большое количество кустарных производств изделий народного творчества. Достаточно интересно. При этом, здесь в магазине можно приобрести множество недорогих сувениров, которые здесь же изготовлены.
