Useless, hopeless, teachers dont know how to teach, principle is tribalist, its over expensive, its a sham. I was treated badly because of my race, they manipulate results and theres a lot of favouritism. Id give it 0 stars but theres no option for that.

I have worked there, teachers are good, parents and students and great, administration need to go to school and learn management. The black teachers are frustrated, that is why there is a high turnover. They have no salary structure for staff and all teachers are not paid the same. They just got their 6th white Head of Academy in less than 10 years of existence. The white teachers are paid the most, then the Ismaili's and then the poor blacks, unless you are in administration.

I went to this school coming in from the Nursery school nearby, and all the way up to 8th grade! It was one of the most influencing factors in my life! Going to this school gave me more opportunities and knowledge of the world and life in general. The learning quality is one of the best in Africa, and certainly the best in Kenya. It is yes a challenging school, but those hardships make you well equipped for the grueling life of University ahead, testing your organization skills as well as developing your perspective through very well constructed assessments and Criterion grading system employed by the IB Schooling system. The facilities are five star, accommodating a huge variety of sports, some even I at my time there didn't explore. From an excellent weight room, to basketball court, artificial grass turf and natural grass field, athletics, swimming and even squash and badminton. At the current moment I am schooling in the US as I am a citizen, and nothing has come close to the quality and experience of the teachers, the level of educational and facilities. The student body there is not only well supported with a variety of after school clubs and tutoring, but are very respectable and work hard to achieve their aspirations. Many of the graduates have also ventured abroad to Switzerland, Canada, Australia and the U.S. I could go on and on, talking about the residential facilities, international standard Science and Technical labs, Lecture halls, Drama Productions, Music facilities and equipment, sports teams, Amazing 5 star Cafeteria food that could put many established hotels to shame, Diverse Resource Center, fundraisers, strong parent body, Community Service, Global Awareness and much more. But what I can leave you now, is that it is an amazing school, with amazing people. Each with their dreams, goals and passions. An educational institute with a true identity and charisma, where people are happy to learn and grow. I Loved the Aga Khan Academy Mombasa!
