Our safari with African Bush & Beach Adventures was amazing!
They made sure we had everything we needed, from transportation to accommodation and food.
Our guide, Pascal, was awesome - he knew so much about the wildlife and ecosystem. We were blown away when he spotted a lioness nearly a kilometer away! Pascal was happy to answer any questions we had throughout the safari and he played a significant role in making our experience truly unforgettable. His expertise, enthusiasm, and amazing ability to spot wildlife were truly remarkable.
Taita Hills was gorgeous, with lots of animals to see up close (elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions and many more)!
We stayed at Sarova Salt Lick Game Lodge, which is spectacular - it’s built on stilts overlooking a watering hole where all sorts of animals come to drink. The rooms were comfy and the food was nice.
We'd definitely recommend this company to anyone who wants an awesome safari in Kenya!response / report this review -

We did the 7 Days best of Kenya trip, our driver was Alex. Masai Mara was a perfect start for our first safari, we were that lucky and saw a cheetah and 3 times a leopard. We went to Lake Naivasha instead of Lake Nakuru, where we had a boattrip and went cycling at Hells Gate, known from the Lion King Rock. Also we changed Tsavo West for Taita Hills. At Taita we slept at one of the most amazing places we've ever slept: Salt Lick Lodge. At night we did the night safari, we saw the lions eating a buffalo. Really a recommendation when going to Taita Hills.
All the accomodations were perfect, food was also.
Had such a wonderful & great experience with especially Alex & the company!
Alex could tell us a lot about the animals, he saw animals long time before we saw them! He learned us so much, now we know the differences between the cheetah & leopard and all the antilopes. Before our journey all the antilopes where an antilope, now we know almost all of them. He knows also a lot of the birds, where we needed binoculars, he could tell us immediately the name of the bird.
Besides he drove carefully and he was very nice, funny and attentively. Important when you are together for a week!
Alex (& Kerstin), thank you for such a great & fantastic adventure, we enjoyed the week very much! If we come back to Kenya, we will choose again for Kerstin and her company.response / report this review -

I was in Kenya with my family for a short trip. African Bush & Beach Adventures looked after us perfectly during this time.

We booked a safari with this agency in June, 2017. Our guide (Mike) picked us up on time after that came a very nice, personalized safari and 3 days of fun. He drove safely with a huge routine, has eyes like an eagle: showed us lot of animals; very nice places and readjusted the car several times for a good photo. Big 5? Easily. Value? Top.

We just came back from what it was supposed to be a 3 days safari, which at the end turn out to be a horrible and dangerous car trip to Tsavo and a very unpleasant experience dealing with all the team from this agency.
The car was terrible, no breaks, no accelerator, windows, doors, wiper no working and so on. The car broke down 5 times before we managed to arrive to the lodge (10 hours drive which was supposed to be 4 hours). But we were told by Kerstin, the manager of the Diani branch, that it was part of the adventure. I guess that to put our lives and their driver live at risk, likes to be taken by then as an adventure. But obviously it was nothing like that for us.
By the time we arrived to the lodge (4 pm), the car was totally burned out and we could not proceed with the game drive in the afternoon. We manage to join another group, although they were not happy about it.
Next day we were promised we will have another car waiting from us at 7am, so we could proceed. At the end, at 10am we were still waiting at the lodge, having the rest of the safari groups, left at 6.30.
The whole first day, whilst the car was keeping on breaking down in the middle of the road, we were constantly lied by the team, they insisted another car was coming behind us to pick us up, which was not true, Kerstin did not pick up the phone (although she knew what was going on), and she just called us late in the evening.
The only comprehensible communication we were having from the team is that we should pay the remaining balance (we have already paid 50% in advance) to their driver, even though the car was death and they were not sure how we were going to manage to continue with our safari.
Next day, we decided to contact the head office in Nairobi, and even though Dickons, the manager there, seems quite understandable of our situation and promise us to talk to Kerstin, he did not do anything or give us any solution.
At the end, we decided to stop our safari and come back to Mombasa, as we could not trust anymore any of the people working on this agency.
So my advise is that you will be better off not doing a safari at all, before doing it with this agency. So look for a more serious and responsive agency. There are many others there doing a great job. So don't spoil it just because of people looking only for your money.
