A beautiful unspoiled park. Ideal for camping, hiking and wildlife encounter. We were lucky enough to see the rare black serval and 2 leopards walking by the side of the forest

Great 30 km hike! It is also possible to do a 12 km round trip to see the Karuru Waterfalls.

As a Kenyan i am proud of Kenya as the number one tourist attraction in Africa. Abadere National park is extra adventurous, having a tarmac leading to the gate, very welcoming KWS guides, and a very informative office. Abadere National park is has majestic peaks, moorlands, parks, and falls. Satima being the highest pick at 4001m. The Abadere ranges stretches across three countys Murang'a, Njeri and Nakuru. It hosts scenic for historic and cultural sites for Mau Mau, hideouts for colonial fighters, Deadan Kimathi site. It has a great history to the U.K especially the 👑 queen of England. It is the source 💧 water catchment for Tana and Athii rivers, with great water falls.

We had a great trip into the Aberdare National Park at the Mutubio Gate. The ranger who was stationed at the gate was incredibly friendly and helpful in answering questions about our visit. He got our fees sorted out quickly as well. The park itself was incredible. We visited 5 waterfalls during the day and had a wonderful picnic lunch at the Queen's Cave. Be cautious if your vehicle does not have high clearance. We have a Toyota Vanguard, and there were a few places we were unable to drive as a result. The road to Karura Waterfall is especially rough in a few places. We were disappointed to not see much wildlife, but the overall scenery was spectacular and there were few other visitors in the park. It seemed we had the place to ourselves. I would highly recommend a trip to the Aberdares!

The only national park you can spot the black leopard. We spotted it near Karuru water fall. You need an armed ranger here if you are doing trekking for the whole trip because this forest is full of wild animals. In the evening it is easier to spot animals like giant forest hog,wild pig, wild dogs, hyenas, many elephants, Buffaloes, large varieties of antelope any many many other animals. This is the best place to visit on a weekend at least 2/3 days is ok. You can do game drive and hiking to Oldoinyo lesatima peak 4100m. A hike from Roadhead to the peak takes about 2hours

Werry nice national park wher you will experience most of the wild animales.
