  Lovely Kyoto style, single plate, obanzai restaurant, in the Pontocho entertainment district, with views of the Kamogawa river. Delicious sashimi, wagu beef, kyoto vegetable tempura, smoked duck, mixed cocktails, whiskey bar. Attentive service. Perfect dining experience in an exciting part of Old Kyoto.

  Great place! Amazing food, every dish was superb. Sat in a cozy little private room (Japanese style floor seating), great with kids. The staff was wonderful, even gave us a little birthday treat (told them we are celebrating). Fair pricing. The dishes are not big, but not pricy so you can experience many kinds. Recommend!

  Very nice. Walked in late in the evening as a last resort as we passed by and were pleasantly surprised that we'd stumbled upon a gem. Everything was perfectly cooked and very reasonably priced. Can highly recommend the pork belly under the Obanzai section of the menu - that just melted away under the pressure of the chopsticks! Lovely view across to Gion too.

  Food is good but there is 300 yen cover charge per head which we are not aware of only until we saw the bill.

  Decent dishes of Italian cuisine done in Japanese way. The service was slower maybe because we ate there on 1st of January. Reasonably priced

  Terrible service and food. Ugly terrace area. Food is mediocre. The guys who gave this place 5 star reviews must never tried any decent Japanese food. Stay away.

  I was actually relieved it was a little touristy Finally someone who could suggest what was good on the menu. Had the asparagus and scallops appetizer - really good, and the veggie tempura with tilefish - amazing!
  
  Only downfall was they were out of the Kyoto style tiramisu. Really wanted to try that.
  
  Staff was super friendly, but a bit slow to order at first. After that, food came out pretty quick.
