Beautiful Jinja with multiple shrines. There is a climbable area that leads to a trekking route into the mountains.

広い神社です。敷地内に複数の拝殿が有り、それぞれに違うご利益の神様がまつられていました。
全部を歩いて参拝する…砕けて言えば、スタンプラリーみたいなシステムが有ります。各拝殿に、判子が設置されています。詳しいことは、現地の管理者に聞いて下さい。御朱印を依頼している間、境内を巡ると、時間を有効に使えます。response / report this review -

The biggest Shinto Shrine in Shizuoka City worth visiting all year round!

神部神社、浅間神社、大歳御祖神社の三社を総称して静岡浅間神社と言います
因みに単独の浅間神社は「あさま」と読み、総称の静岡浅間神社は「せんげん」と読みます
家康お膝元だけあり、境内の社殿の多くは寛永・文化年間に大造営が行われたもので、国の重要文化財に指定されています
御朱印は全部で８種類
「静岡浅間神社」「神部神社」「浅間神社」「大歳御祖神社」は社務所で書いて戴けます
「八千戈神社」「少名彦名神社」「麓山神社」「玉鉾神社」のものは書き置きしたものを戴きますresponse / report this review -

バイクですが駐車場がよく分からず境内の池の横に停めました。御朱印を頂戴しました。鳥居が道の真ん中に立ってて知らなかったら激突間違い無しです。よく事故にならないなと感心。

静岡という地名の由来となった場所。
神仏分離以前は寺であったようで、富士宮の大社とはまた違う荘厳さがある。
フラメンコの舞台の撤去のお仕事を頂いてお邪魔した際に、欄間が海竜を珍しいと神職さんに尋ねたら、小一時間ほど神社の由来などを説明して回って頂いた。
大変貴重で有り難い、贅沢な時間であった。
