  I would describe this hotel as offering the epitome of luxury service. Our stay here has been absolutely delightful, and we were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the tea house and the swimming pool. The breakfast was enjoyable; however, we were slightly disappointed with the dinner selection.

  Loved our time here. Concierge team was great!! Property was immaculate. Location is a bit far but we just walked or took a taxi to the train station.
  
  My only pieces of constructive feeeback would be:
  
  Lose the luxury brand partnerships. At the time we stayed they had a Christian Dior partnership. It took away from the ambience and made us feel like we were just being marketed at. Lastly I feel like my diamond status could have been recognized better.

  This hotel has is beautifully set in the hills on the edge of Kyoto. The views are stunning.
  
  The pool is quiet and very warm. Rooms are immaculate with lovely bathrooms. Staff are extremely attentive and friendly.
  
  The one thing that really lets the place down is the lack of choice in the restaurant. The breakfast buffet is quite limited for a 5 star hotel yet also very expensive. There is no hot food, instead you are allowed to order one hot item from a short menu. The portions of food provided are very small. I was given eggs Benedict made with a cold egg.
  
  There is a little in the way of casual food available and no shop where you can buy bottles of drinks and so on.
  
  Fix this and I would easily give the hotel 5 stars.
  
  The location is quite far from everything in Kyoto, it is around 30 minutes by taxi to the station. This is the nature of a resort hotel so not a negative but worth knowing.

  I recently had the pleasure of staying and I must say it was a truly exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a very kind and warm welcome that immediately made me feel at home.
  
  The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They were attentive, courteous, and always ready to assist with any requests or questions I had. The genuine warmth and hospitality displayed by the staff truly made a lasting impression on me.
  
  The facilities and rooms were nothing short of extraordinary. The attention to detail and the overall cleanliness of the hotel were commendable. The room I stayed in was spacious, well-appointed, and furnished with modern amenities. The comfortable bed provided me with a restful night's sleep, allowing me to wake up refreshed and ready to take on the day.
  
  One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfast served at the hotel's restaurant. The variety of options available catered to different tastes and dietary preferences. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. It was the perfect way to start each day, and I looked forward to indulging in the scrumptious spread.
  
  Overall, my experience exceeded my expectations in every way. The very kind and warm welcome, combined with the excellent facilities, comfortable room, and delightful breakfast, made my stay truly memorable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a top-notch experience, and I personally can't wait to return in the future.

  It's our first time staying in ROKU Kyoto and it was one of the best hotel experience that I have had in recent years. The overall stay was superb and everyone in the hotel made you feel welcomed from end to end.
  
  Other than that, the room and facilities are on the luxurious side and the views are amazing. The hotel compound has a lot of nature trails to walk around.
  
  We enjoyed our dinner and the complementary tea. Breakfast was on a healthier side but not as extensive the the ordinary buffet you have in other 5-star hotels.
  
  Will definitely come back again on a different season!
