  One of the best museums I’ve ever visited. Make sure you plan your time properly, you will need minimum 5 hours to see everything. Theatre 360 was awesome! All this just for 620 Yen. Respect.

  Quiet, with a decent collection and usually has special exhibitions. Worth the visit if you love classical art or happen to be in Ueno.

  Worth a visit even if you don't go inside. The outside garden/courtyard is fantastic and also has many sculptures. It seems like it is busy all the time.

  Great permanent collection of classical and modern pieces from Jean Baptiste, Monet, Manet, Pollock and more. The building itself is a world heritage site. The collection is small but it is free!

  The museum was fine but they dont recognize disability of foreigners, the japanese have a "didabled id" that gives them free access, maybe an embassy letter stating one is disabled might be accepted

  A MUST visit place when you're in Tokyo, you can spent a day here to exploring other in Ueno park like zoo, museum, exhibition, street performance ect

  Worth seeing, but it will not be really impressive after seeing some European art museums. The 2nd and 4th Saturday of the weekend is free admission for their regular collection. The building is very nice though.

  The building itself has recently been listed as a World Heritage Site because it was designed by the famous architect Le Corbusier. I'm not sure if I really like the building, though. It comes across as quite dull for me. Regardless, it's influential and interesting if you like architecture and so even if you don't want to go inside, it's worth having a look from the outside.
