Easy to climb up there eventhough it has over 700 steps.

This is a special place to visit, the hike isn't easy, but it's well worth the work.

    Half a day well spent.
This is the head konpira temple. If you are in good health , you can easily go to the inner temple and come back in 2+ hours. Carry enough water in summer!

See a bunch of great temples, climb over 1000 steps and be awarded with a great view at the end. Very satisfying and slightly demanding walk.

You need strong legs and stamina to climb all the way up to the top of this shrine. Well worth it at the end. The views are spectacular

Travel light and be prepared to walk a lot of stairways if you want to climb to the top. The scenery is great up at the temple.

Free entry, great atmosphere, and extremely old and detailed shrine structures make this a most visit while in the region. Be prepared to climb up a thousand steps to reach the summit. A variety of touristy shops and onsen in the area, but we didn't get to explore those as we arrived late in the evening. The surrounding shops close at around 5pm.
