  Japanese rate it as one of the top 3 gardens in Japan. It’s very nice but I prefer smaller gardens with more trees or flowers and less lawn. I’d probably rate it as in the top 30 but not a must see

  後楽園内には茶畑があり、毎年5月第3日曜には、茶つみ祭が行われます。緑茶の一番茶はこの直後、一瞬にして完売するそうですが、紅茶として福田茶屋で売られていました。￥500。

  車椅子の貸し出しあり。ただし押すのはけっこう筋力がいる。園内の見晴らしは壮観。あちこちにある茶店の一つで、善哉とままかり寿司をいただく。どちらも美味。お勧め。冬に訪れたが、春、秋も、桜、紅葉と行って見たい。

  唯心山からの眺め。山腹には唯心堂があり、斜面にはツツジやサツキが綺麗に咲いていました。

  駐車場の奥に停めるより一旦土手の下に降りて左折し蓬莱橋近くに停めた方が、歩く距離が短くなります。
