Nice shrine with very old trees.

Beautiful, serene spot. Though the worship areas and coffee shop close by 5p.m. you can still walk around after dark and visit the centuries old camphor tree at the back and it's sister tree on the front right of the shrine.

It has the 2000 year old sacred tree behind the shrine. Worth visiting and pilgrimage.

I had a nice stroll here. This shrine is small yet well maintained and modern. I am impressed with the selfie stands installed at significant spots, very thoughtful!

A small but peaceful place to walk around with wonderful trees. One set of tree roots is formed to resemble a mother holding a child and of course a phallus that was receiving lots of attention with selfies.
The shop smells like fresh cut cedar and the staff was kind and happy. The Kinomiya Shrine was very active with ceremonies and families visiting. It's a easy access and welcome place to stop and take a break from the slow pace of driving along the coast. Take a moment to enjoy.response / report this review -

Very calm and peaceful place , just loved the entire stretch till the main shrine , very nicely done surrounding adding to the calmness of this place, lots of orange fishes adds to the Beauty of this place in a waterbody just besides the shrine staircase, overall a great place to be at. We went kids and trust me the kids had a great time watching the fishes

One of the loveliest shrines I know. The shrine is for a camphor tree that is over 2 thousand years old. The tree is beautiful and people say for everytime you walk around it you will add a year to your life. The entire shrine is vibrant and well kept. There are many photo opportunities. This shrine has shrine maidens who sometimes dance with fans in from of the tree. When I was there I also hear lots of beautiful traditional music being played by the shrine attendants. There are also some nice areas with orange tori gates that are great for pictures. At night the area around the tree was lit with lantetns and I half expected to see the spirits if the forest come out of hiding to enjoy the beauty of the scene. I would definitely add this to my trip while visiting Atami. There was also an impressive amount of information available in English.
