As first time guests to an onsen, Tyler was very helpful instructing us as to the customs. The food was all locally sourced and one of the most unique meals we've had. Incredibly kind staff - we would recommend it !
Beautiful setting, very friendly staff. Excellent onsen. Highly recommended.
Stayed a few nights here on a weekend getaway from Tokyo. The owners were fantastic! Very accommodating and helpful. We had dinner here one night (Traditional Japanese Kaiseki-style) which was amazing! Reminded me some of the better meals I've had down in Kyoto. One of the owners (Tyler) is a native English speaker (and an awesome guy to boot!), so we had no communication difficulties. All facilities were clean and rooms were spacious. We'll be back again for sure!
We had a lovely few days here. A great ryokan experience with an onsen - including a beautiful outdoor private one you can book if as a couple you want to bathe together. Also Tyler the friendly American owner can help with any cultural translation needed to get the most out of your stay. He is good at suggesting things to do to maximise your visit. We did some hiking but there are also cultural walking and biking tours of the area. The kaiseki meal we had one evening was one one of the best meals of our trip and that is saying something :).
I had a wonderful experience at this traditional hotel. The food was amazing and the rooms were beautiful. The owner was very friendly and spoke perfect English. I highly recommend it.
Loved it
Amazing service. Delicious food. Traditional atmosphere. Hot baths. This was hands down the best ryokan onsen I've been to.
Relaxing and welcoming. Great host and delicous traditional food. The mineral baths are hot, but good.
