Exactly what you think it will be: a HOT bath with some showers. Excellent place to lay back for a bit after a day of walking around the island, especially if you need to warm up in the winter time. For about ¥800 you get entry and a small towel. I didn’t mind buying the small branded towel as it is a nice little souvenir to take home. I went around 5:15PM and it was only me and one other in the men’s section. After a few minutes he left and i had the place to myself for a bout an hour. Wish the music selection was a bit better but other than that had a great time just stretching out in the bath and enjoying the interesting art on the tiles.

Nice bathhouse. Paid ¥1450 for entry, a towel, bag, body soap and shampoo.

I went at 4pm and the place was nice and quiet, even had the place to myself for a good 20 minutes.

Lots of interesting imagery to take in whilst soaking in the tub.

The japanese tourists walking by seemed too scared to go in and made do with snapping photos and scurrying away. Seemed like only locals and foreign tourists had the stones to go in!

Do not miss. It's a great opportunity to hang with locals and take in the art.

Sublime reimagining of the town's small once defunct sento. Ohtake's enthusiastic exploring of found object and wabisabi is heart touching and sings of the best of the spirit of Nihonjin. My only regrets are not being visiting at a time to enjoy a bath and that the utterly lovely souvenirs are not available to try before purchasing. Great in so many ways.

Super onsen, small with friendly staff and great deco. Bring shampoo and towel, otherwise an extra 1k yen

Cute art project: a bath house decorated with kitschy objects. Didn't bring a towel and soap? They'll sell you a kit with entry for 1500Y

Small and artistic onsen. Body art is acceptable at this onsen.

Take a bath here is a fantastic experience. The outside is a piece of art but also inside is unique! The perfect place to visit after a long day, when all the museums of the island are close

Super nice experience. Separate bathrooms. Take off shoes before entering locker room. Towel is required, but you can just buy it at the counter for 310yen.

    Worth trying.

Really cool and quirky Japanese bathhouse. Make sure to brush up on your bathing etiquette before you go in and it's worth bring in soap and a towel as these cost extra.
