This hotel is very near all of the Onsens and such but we were much more interested in Nikko and the Lake area so this hotel was a poor choice for us. getting public transport there from Tokyo is a pain especially as it is not on a JR line. We had a very whistle stop stay, arriving late and leaving early. Room was very nice. it's a very Japanese hotel shoes off when you get there.

Spacious, clean rooms with charming view of the valley. Onsen has to be rented, but is reasonably priced. Breakfast is inconveniently in a separate location. All in all a good deal if you come by car.

Beautiful room in good condition with friendly staff. A bit old, but for the price a very good deal.

Spacious and clean. You can also take the bus to the hotel. Just advise the hotel name to the driver. The bus is next to the train station to the right.

The hotel is a bit odd and we likely wouldn't stay again. The restaurant was very expensive and closed, so we had to find food elsewhere but there are extremely few options nearby. The town itself is like a ghost town of hotels with absolutely no liveliness or character; it seems that people come to stay the night and leave so don't expect an interesting time there. It's farther from Nikko than is convenient, though there are few options that are closer. The hotel room was very large with a wonderful view and good amenities, and the yukata was comfortable. The staff seemed very stressed even though it was a quiet evening, and finding us a parking spot seemed like a big deal even though we had notified them in advance. Nothing really went wrong with our stay, but everything was just a little off and a bit gloomy.
