  大阪市営地下鉄谷町線の駅。同四つ橋線の西梅田駅、同御堂筋線及び阪急電鉄、阪神電鉄の梅田駅、JRの大阪駅、北新地駅に接続。都島・大日方面のホームと天王寺・八尾南方面のホームは改札内で直接行き来できないので注意。

  谷町線ホームは相対式2面2線。御堂筋線、四つ橋線の乗車券は梅田・西梅田・東梅田とも同一駅扱いとなるため相互に使用できる (定期券はいずれの方向に乗車しても区間外となる場合を含めて3駅とも入出場可能)。JR東西線北新地駅への乗り換えはやや時間を要するため南森町が便利。
