The owner of the house is quite kind. The facilities are totally in Japanese style. Spent 2days in the house and feel like the best during my whole trip.

Guesthouse Iki has a good loction, just need to follow host's route then walk 5-10 minutes from Kintetsu Nara station. The host is very polite and attentive, the guesthouse is clean and simple, our double room is big and Japanese-style tatami is so fragrant. It's easy to walk to every attractions. Enjoy your trip in Nara.

Pros: The location is great, right next to shops and restaurants and a quick walk to the park with the beautiful deer. There aren't many rooms. We had an ensuite bathroom and were given a free upgrade to our own double which was great. Quiet & clean. Staff were super friendly and gave us a map of the area.

Cons: Kitchen is super tiny and cooker can only be used at certain times.

One of the best places, we stayed at during our time in Japan! Brand new building, very nice and clean rooms/bathrooms as well as lobby. Great location as well - ten minutes from the Nara JR station, five minutes from the Kintetsu station and ten minutes from Nara park.

Jun was an amazing host - very polite and incredibly helpful. He mapped some stuff out for us to visit in Nara and even the trains and times for our trip to Koyasan.

We definitely recommend Guest House Iki, and would definitely stay here again!

Perfect sized rooms. Great location. Paper thin walls, but then that's what you wanted. Only downside I really found was a lack of some mood lighting rather than the full ceiling light.
