何度か訪れている宮島・厳島神社ですが、この日は初めて干潮で歩いて大鳥居の下まで歩いて行けました。大鳥居の柱にはたくさんの硬貨が刺さっていました。まもなく帰途の時刻には潮が満ち始めていて、とても風情があります。羽田からの山口宇部便あるいは大分便搭乗時に上空を飛ぶ飛行機からこの大鳥居が確認できた時はとても感動的です。

must-go landmark at Hiroshima, better to go in the morning to avoid the crowd. The ferry has special route for closer view from 9am-4pm

干潮時には鳥居に触れることができるからといって鳥居に硬貨を差し込んだり、逆に差し込まれた硬貨をパクるのはやめましょう

Worth a visit if you are hitting Hiroshima. Take the train-->ferry and be sure to go during high tide. Allow for 3-4 hours to wander the shops, eat fresh oysters, and explore the shrine.

干潮時は大鳥居のそばまで行くことが出来ます。この大鳥居の根本は海底深く埋められているのではなく、大鳥居自身の重さだけで建っています。

When u pray to the god, if you go into from right side, you should go out from right side. If you go into from left side, you should go out from left side.
