Perfectly situated and wonderfully restored space , the café serves a delicious range of sweet and savory dishes inspired by the years of Japanese-Portuguese exchange. Founded by a Portuguese-Japanese couple it could not be more authentic and the staff are friendly and smiley. After enjoying delicious coffee or tea accompanied by traditional treats you can stroll across the road to the beautiful shinto temple. An added bonus is the market that takes place there on the 25th of every month! Don't leave Kyoto without stopping by Castella do Paulo!
