  They dont inform you that the crater ropeway has been closed since 2014 and let you pay for the bus half way up there to a ridiculous gift shop. No way to see the crater, stay away from Aso!

  阿蘇観光の拠点の一つですね(^^)/
  趣のある駅舎は旅情を誘いますね！！
  ここからは阿蘇連山を望むことが出来ます。
  また、道の駅「阿蘇」も隣接してます(^_-)-☆

  Gare très pratique. Le centre d'informations touriste à l'intérieur propose des vélos électriques en location (500 yen pour 4h), parfait pour une promenade dans les rizières, au bord de la caldeira et dans le centre d'Aso (avec son temple).
  La gare est équipée de consignes (500 à 700 yen pour une journée), d'une boîte aux lettres, de guichets train et bus et de personnel sur place. Un petit restaurant est intégré au bâtiment.

  趣のある駅舎。ななつ星の朝食場所でもあるレストラン「火星」が、併設されてます。また、隣に「道の駅阿蘇」もあるので、お土産なんか購入するのも便利。

  아소산으로 가는 열차가 있다.근처에 온천수 분수대가 있고 바로앞에 온천도 있어서 좋다.하지만 쿠마모토에서 아소로 가는 열차가 매우 부족하다 그렇기 때문에 일찍가는것을 추천한다.

  The station restaurant has vegetarian ramen made with local plants : delicious ! If the crater is not accessible (which was the case for me) : take the train (caution, not a JR line) from Aso Station to Shirakawa and visit the valley south of the volcano. Awesome landscapes and nice japanese countryside to visit :)

  love it, country side, green, so fun to start it from there.. ride between kumamoto and aso has never been so entertaining!
